Ingredients:
- 2 apples
- 1 egg, size “M”
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 7-9 tbsp it’s us miklos’ universal flour mix (depends on the moisture content of the apples)
- 12 g vanilla sugar
Preparation:
- After peeling, grate the apples with a large hole grater. Add the eggs, the baking powder and the vanilla sugar, then in more steps, mix the flour mix into it. Add enough flour to get a “nokedli”- or dumpling-like batter.
- Heat oil in a pan and with a spoon, drop the batter into the warm but not too hot oil. Press the small apple mounds apart a bit with the back of the spoon and fry them until golden brown on both sides.
- Place the fried hash browns on paper towel.
- Sprinkle it with icing sugar till hot and serve them sprinkled with the mixture of cinnamon and powder sugar to taste.
