Ingredients:
- 150 g lukewarm milk
- 20 g honey
- 20 g fresh yeast
- 500 g it’s us maria’s sweet baking flour mix
- 30 g powdered sugar
- 1 egg yolk
- 80 g cold butter / margarine
On top / 1:
- 1 egg, size “M”
- 1 tbsp water
On top / 2:
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 2 tbsp cold water
Preparation:

Mix milk, yeast and honey and set aside for about 5 minutes or until yeast has proofed.
- Measure flour into a bowl, add powdered sugar and crumble it with the butter or margarine.
- Add the proofed yeast, the egg yolk and knead an elastic dough.
- Cover with a clean kitchen towel and leave to rise at room temperature for 60 mins.
- Knead the dough on a working surface sprinkled with rice flour then divide it into 8 equal parts and shape them into buns.
- Roll finger-thick rods from the buns, then roll them up one by one. The ends should be folded under the rolls.
- Place shaped dough portions on a baking sheet then brush their top with the mixture of a lightly beaten egg and water.
- Let them rest on room temperature for about 20 mins.
- Bake them in a preheated oven at 170 degrees for about 20 minutes.
- After removing from the oven, brush with the mixture of cold water and sugar immediately.
