Ingredients:
Dough:
- 200 g lukewarm herbal almond drink
- 20 g of fresh yeast or 5 g of dried yeast
- 50 g of honey or sweetener
- 60 g of melted margarine
- 1 egg yolk of size M
- 270 g it’s us kate’s low carb mix cake flour mix
Filling:
- 4 tablespoons of sugar or sweetener
- 2 tablespoons of Dutch cocoa
- 40 g of water
Preparation:
- Mix the almond drink and honey in a mixing bowl, then crumble the yeast into it and let it rise for a few minutes.
- Mix in the egg yolk and melted margarine.
- Measure out the flour and knead an elastic dough.
- Let the dough rest at room temperature for 15 minutes.
- Roll out the dough on a surface sprinkled with flour for approx. into a 2 mm thick rectangle.
- Mix the filling ingredients and spread on top of the rolled out dough.
- Roll up the dough and cut with a sharp knife approx. snails one and a half fingers thick.
- Place the snails in a baking tray lined with baking paper and let them rise at room temperature for 40 minutes. In an oven preheated to 180 degrees for approx. Bake it in 20 minutes.
